Suan Ni is a sacred and intelligent animal from Chinese legends and myths. It is the fifth son of the dragon (the dragon has nine sons) and appears like a lion.
Suan Ni is rather a sitting-down type and is fond of smoke. Hence it is often portrayed on incense burners or holders of all kinds.
This very cute cartoon-ish incense holder shaped like a Suan Ni is completely handmade.
